BEACHING IN BOHOLJuly 01, 2010
One of the things that the Philippines is known best for is its world class beaches. The country is an archipelago of over seven thousands islands meaning that no matter where you are in the Philippines, you are never far from a beach.
Pangalao beach is a paramount example of one of the Philippines elite beaches; it’s a little slice of sunny Philippine paradise. Its shallow crystal waters are as warm as bath water and the gleaming white sand is so fine that it would be better described as powder - it boasts sort of perfection that belongs on the front of a postcard.
Panglao island is a small sub-island connected by road to the main island of Bohol. It’s a short drive from Tagbilaran city which serves as the island's capital. Bohol island has a small airport so it's accessible both by air and by ferry.
There are wooden huts for hire on the beach front which make for a perfect place to take in the sea view and sit in the shade between swims. There are a number of beach activities to try too, include skim boarding, jetskiing, parasailing, wake boarding and boat tours.
If you fancy venturing further afield, you can easily ‘hop‘ to other islands on a pump-boat too. The Philippines really is a underrated and undiscovered holiday destination. Between you and me, I am happy to keep it as our little secret.
